Eggert Kristjánsson hf. was founded in 1922. The main purpose was to import groceries and tableware for a new and growing market in Iceland. Troughout the time of business Eggert Kristjánsson hf. has imported everything from small items to ships. Mainly though groceries such as canned and dried food, fruit and vegetables, cleaning agents and detergent for household uses.
